The role of polyamine in water treatment:
①As a flocculant: Polyamine is a cationic polymer, which is used in domestic and industrial sewage. It can rapidly adsorb negatively charged suspended particles and colloids in water, forming large flocs, and efficiently remove impurities and color. It can be compounded with polyaluminium chloride to enhance the purification efficiency.
②Used for sludge dewatering: Conditioning high moisture content sludge, promoting the aggregation of sludge particles, releasing water, reducing the moisture content of sludge (to 60%-85%), reducing the volume of sludge, and facilitating subsequent disposal.
③Decolorization treatment: Due to the charge neutralization and adsorption bridging effects of polyamine, for some wastewater containing pigments, dyes and other chromogenic substances, it can cause these chromogenic substances to aggregate and precipitate, thereby achieving the purpose of decolorization. It is often used in the treatment of wastewater from the papermaking and dyeing industries.
④Circulating cooling water treatment: Sterilization, algae control and slime control functions, inhibition of microbial growth, prevention of pipe blockage, and maintenance of cooling system stability.
